Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny: Part 5

June 23, 2014

Wearing:

Hello, beautiful people! I am back on this wonderful Tuesday morning to share with you one last look for my "Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny" series! It's been SUCH fun sharing these amazing dresses with you. I think we've all learned that the Cluny dress is versatile, unique, and most important, super stylish for work or play!

I took this fancy cobalt little number from day to night. For the day-time, I chose a "work week chic" look! Since I am off for the summer, and mostly living in my swimsuit, or a flowy sundress, I am eager to start dressing up for the school days again! For all of you ladies who do not get a summer break, here's a little outfit inspiration for the day time! I went with a blazer, since I seem to get super cold when I'm inside no matter what the season, and it gives the dress a more polished look, and some playful, yet pretty conservative printed heels. Pairing a monochromatic statement necklace with it doesn't make quite a statement, but rather the subtle hint of "I know how to accessorize" :)

For my night-time look, I said "farewell" to the jacket, and let the gorgeous dress take the spotlight! The design on the front is actually little leather patches. Can you believe how great it looks! For some reason, if it didn't have the front detailing, I think it'd look different on! A simple sequin cuff, and my favorite strappy wedges were enough to pull this look together! What do you ladies think? I, for one, think that if you haven't yet.. it's time to invest in a Cluny dress! Have a lovely rest of your day! xoxo.

Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny: Part 4

June 10, 2014

I'm back for Part 4 of my series "Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny" to share a night-time inspired look! I raved and raved about this dress in this post, but I think it says it all in these photos! The fit is feminine and classic. Next time I style this dress, I'm going to wear it as a skirt and pair a top with it! I always gravitate towards chambray everything, but may consider styling a polka dot top with it, or maybe something pink, red, or yellow for a pop of color! See above for where to purchase this adorable Cluny dress, lovelies, and I'll see you back here on Thursday morning for #Spotlight Weekly!

Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny: Part 3

June 08, 2014

Hello, lovely ladies, and Happy Monday! I am back to share with you another gorgeous Cluny dress! I love this dress because of it's shape, and of course the print! I'm a total sucker for stripes. Somehow this dress is more slimming because of the horizontal stripes up front, and the diagonal stripes on the sides! The feminine a-line style makes this cut-off vest still seem girly, and of course there's the pastel pink flower! Seriously, any woman could put this dress on and feel instantly fabulous because of the structure and fit!

Simple works for day-time style with a dress as amazing as this! I went a little fancier with the night-time look, so stay tuned for that tomorrow! Have such a fabulous day full of joy!

Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny: Part 2

June 03, 2014

Today, I'm styling this Cluny dress from yesterday's post but for an evening look. This is my second look for my series "Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny" and I chose to include this black sash, a classic staple bag, and some wedges that tie the look together. I know the "little black dress" has been a classic go-to for date nights in the past, but the little white dress is actually becoming quite popular. I used to be afraid to wear white during any time other than summer days, but I'm inventing new ways to style white in the winter! For this look, if it wasn't so hot out these days, I might have included a black blazer to polish off the outfit! Hope you're having a fabulous and stylish week, ladies!

Stay tuned for another Cluny look next week where I'll style a different dress for summer days and summer nights!

Summer Days and Summer Nights With Cluny: Part 1

June 02, 2014

Happy Monday, lovely ladies! I've got some exciting posts coming up in the next few weeks. This is the first in my series with Cluny NYC. Although you may not yet heard of the brand, you have definitely seen a Cluny dress. They are a contemporary line based out of Manhattan. If you shop at Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Anthropologie, and many other high-end department stores, you have seen a Cluny dress, and maybe even tried one on! Their pieces are feminine, effortless, and perfect for any woman, at any age. I put this dress on, and instantly felt ready for the day! For this reason, only minimal accessories are needed.

I'm doing a "Summer Days and Summer Nights" series with Cluny, and this is the first outfit where I style this dress for day-time. The night time look will go live on the blog tomorrow, so stay tuned ;) The navy and yellow accessories in this outfit play up this lacy white frock. My favorite thing about this dress in particular is the not too low neckline, and a little above the knee length. It's tough being 5'8" and finding a dress that is appropriate for work. Teachers especially understand where I'm coming from, because you're bending down to get little hugs, or help students with work all day, and it's important to keep that modesty going in the work place. However, I prefer to wear trendy, youthful clothing to work, which is why any Cluny dress is perfect for work or play!
