Sometimes, you look at your closet, and wish you could wear your fall boots just once more since you know it'll be wayyyy to hot to wear them until another 6 months from now; Then you plan your outfit around said boots. These Maddens have been through a couple of fall/winter seasons with me, and they're still going strong! To be honest, I feel like there still might be this "black and brown= no no" stigma, but you guys know how I feel about those classic fashion "no-no's"… So, black and cognac it is! A gorgeous combo, I might add. However, it may just have looked a tad better in the daylight without my giant shadow behind me. Ha, well, you can't have it all! Hope you're having an amazing week! Thank you so much for reading.

Outfit Post: Oxblood + Camel

November 01, 2012

Wearing:
Polka dot Sweater: Old Navy (similar)
Pants: Banana Republic (love these)
Shoes: Target
Glasses: c/o Firmoo
Monogram Necklace: Baublebar (similar)
Bag: Vintage Coach
Watch: Michael Kors (love this one for fall)
Bracelet: J.Crew
Hair: amazing stylist, Topher

With the recent oxblood rave I decided to pair a classic polka dotted sweater (a super cheap J.Crew knockoff) from Old Navy with my new denim from Banana Republic. This color surprisingly looks great paired with almost any other color, however the camel+black is my favorite so far. If only it was cold enough to add a scarf, boots, and a coat I'd be a happy camper. Soon, though!

Anyway, my glasses are from a trendy online eyewear company called Firmoo. Here's a little more about them:

Firmoo offer prescription glasses as well as fashionable sunglasses. By being an online store, Firmoo are able to keep overheads and expenses down, this reflects in there cost to you and means there are no budgeting on quality or design and offering a high standard of eyewear at competitive prices. You can find out more about Firmoo on there website Firmoo.com

Also, Firmoo is currently offering  'First Pair Free For New Customers' so head over fast and bag yourself a pair of Free sunnies. They are worth there price tag, so to get some for nothing is well worth it! This is a great opportunity for all of us "four-eyed" bloggers or blog readers alike! Not sure which ones you like or which ones look best on you? Yes, it appears as though I've filmed another video- (just a disclaimer, even though the song mentions 'the sea' I am not on or near the ocean… so do not be deceived!) J filmed and edited this again, so a big thanks to him! As far as the outfit, I was feeling extra quirky in my glasses, and decided to embrace it fully- I am already huge on polka dots- they will probably be a major closet staple for me this Fall- just fyi…. you can see my last outfit video post here :)

On another note, Alicia Klein recently contacted me about styling a couple of their items in one of my posts! I was instantly super excited because this iPad case (used as clutch) is absolutely gorgeous, and the Cayenne color I picked out is perfect for the upcoming Fall season! The versatility of this piece makes it so completely worth it. It's just the right size to fit my phone, keys, and my darling Alicia Klein California Taxi Wallet.

I am also wearing some gorgeous jewelry from Poshlocket- I'd been eyeing a few of their pieces already but when a representative contacted me I was instantly giddy! There were so many great pieces to choose from,  but these bangles have been stuck to my wrist since I received them in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Talk about jewelry staples! As for my glasses, see my experience with Warby Parker At Home Try-On's here!

Also, I have some fun news… I'll be announcing an AWESOME giveaway on Tuesday! Come back and visit me for a chance to win one of Alicia Klein's darling accessories  and to learn more about their line! Hope you're having a great weekend.
