Happy Wednesday! I'm super excited about sharing this outfit, because it's one of my favorites in a long time! Pattern mixing has been a trend very close to my heart for a couple of years now-and polka dots on floral is the mix of all mixes! I kept it simple with minimum accessories, and my nude Tahari pumps. This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend Lucky FABB. I had an absolute blast meeting lots of bloggers, and hanging out with some gorgeous girls I already know. I was also able to hear very inspirational speakers and presenters and the ins and outs of blogging! I cannot wait to share! I'll be posting my first Lucky FABB post later this week! Anyway, how bright and fun is this dress?! What you can't see is the gorgeous sweetheart neckline, but I have a feeling I'll be wearing it many more times this Spring and Summer. The dress is actually custom made for me courtesy of eShakti.com, a retro inspired clothing website! I just had to enter my measurements, and a week later, I had a darling dress that fit like a glove. There were so many pieces that I wanted to get, but a lot of them were already sold out. However, I saw the floral print on a bright backdrop, and knew I had to have this one. The A-line waist and light cotton fabric are my favorite part of the dress, I think!

Sometimes, you look at your closet, and wish you could wear your fall boots just once more since you know it'll be wayyyy to hot to wear them until another 6 months from now; Then you plan your outfit around said boots. These Maddens have been through a couple of fall/winter seasons with me, and they're still going strong! To be honest, I feel like there still might be this "black and brown= no no" stigma, but you guys know how I feel about those classic fashion "no-no's"… So, black and cognac it is! A gorgeous combo, I might add. However, it may just have looked a tad better in the daylight without my giant shadow behind me. Ha, well, you can't have it all! Hope you're having an amazing week! I absolutely adore the color of this sweater I bought last year from LOFT, but for some reason I have a hard time pairing it with outfits. When I decided to try it with this brown faux leather skirt, it was love at first sight! For some reason the colors work really well together. I paired it with my bunched faux pearls from J.Crew Factory for a more dainty look. Don't you just love those outfits that you try on a whim, then they're perfect?! Happy 12.12.12. :)
