Mommy & Me Style Ideas

Hi beautiful friends! Happy Monday! I'm super excited to share some cute ideas for 'Mommy & Me' styles! Believe it or not, with Easter over, Mother's Day is coming up sooner than we think, and it may be time for a sweet 'Mommy & Me' photoshoot to celebrate!

I love matching with my little daughter, and I personally think that mamas matching with their sons is the cutest thing ever as well! I have two outfits to share with you (one of them you've seen before here) where I match with Gracie!

The first is a super cute grey tee from The Blue Envelope that says 'Mama' and Gracie has a little ragland tee that says 'Love' on it! We both have red accents that help tie the outfits together, and let me just say that a boy could EASILY style this outfit! (That's why I had Grace wear her cute, little denim jeggings, so I could show you that any mama can easily match with their little boy!

The second outfit is from a previous post, but it's just too good not to share twice! (See the original post here), the pink and flowy maxi skirt is from Ruby Claire Boutique, and the top is from Loved by Hannah & Eli.

In both posts, I have on my amazing Far More Than Rubies mama metal necklace that I've seriously been wearing nonstop. Grace loves playing with the little rings, and is super soothed when the rings make a soft jingle when she's nursing.

Hi ladies! Today I'm getting super personal and opening up about motherhood. As many of you know, I grew up without a mother (more about that in this post here) so becoming a mom, especially to a little girl, is something that I do not take for granted. I'm sharing my #MothersPromise to Gracie!

Here are five things that I promise to teach my sweet little one...

Dear Daughter,

I'm writing to you today to share what I feel are some of the most important lessons/key ideas to living a joyful, healthy, and complete life. Know that there are many more things I will teach you along the way, but for now, here are some of the most important.

Serve Others

This is number one on my list. The only way to survive in this crazy world is to serve one another with joy. I believe that giving to others, and doing things for others is the key to happiness. I cannot express the immense amount of happiness I feel when I get to help someone or show them kindness and compassion. Honestly, humans are made to serve one another, and it is essential that you learn this at a very early age.

You Are Not Alone

In the age where social media is very present in the lives of children and teens, I feel that it's absolutely necessary for you to know that your parents, friends, and family are here for you 24/7, no matter what, all judgement aside. We live in a very terrifying age where bullying forces children to take their own lives. Sorry to be so heavy, but it's just the truth. I want you to understand that we are here for you no matter what you may be going through or facing; you must know that you are not alone.

Love Yourself

Something that every woman, especially, needs to learn how to do. I want you to feel confident in the woman that you are mentally, emotionally, and physically. Body image is something that I want you to understand and love. You need to know that the way you were created is a complete work of art, and you shouldn't ever doubt yourself. True confidence and happiness comes from loving yourself first.

Quality Matters

This one is more for fun, than anything, but when in doubt, choose the quality brand. Make-up, hair color, shoes, clothing. Yes, you may spend a bit extra up front, but you cannot beat the longevity of a great brand. There's a reason my Tory Burch sandals lasted 4 seasons longer than my cheapie sandals! This is why I chose to use Pampers Premium Care from Walmart.com for the first 6 months of your life <3 They were hypoallergenic for your soft, baby skin and of the utmost quality. Sure they were a bit more expensive than other diapers, but it was absolutely worth it.

Be a Leader

Lastly, always lead; never follow. You will grow up with examples of strong characteristics such as determination, motivation, strong will, and maybe a bit of stubbornness (not sure who you will get that from...) and these are all things a great leader must possess. I know that you were born to do something great with your life.
