Spotlight Weekly Link-Up | Week 99: Dressed Up

July 23, 2015

Hey ladies! For our 'dressed up' theme I styled a fun, striped skirt paired with a flirty, leopard top for a little pattern mixing! I am in love with this gorgeous statement necklace from Happiness Boutique and I think it went with this outfit perfectly! Since this is supposed to be a dressy outfit, I wore heels for the first time in like two months, and I loved it! I went with red heels to match my red lips. I think any chic accessories you have that are red, whether they're shoes or handbags definitely look great when you pair them with a red lip up top! My favorite red lipstick is Maybelline "are you red-dy" lol so cheesy but a great shade! I have heard great things about NARS 'heatwave' as well, but have never tried it myself ;)

Spotlight Weekly Link-Up | Week 80: Leopard Print

March 11, 2015

Hi loves! Today I'm sporting a dress from Momo Maternity! I love that their clothing feels seamless, weightless, and oh so comfortable! I went with leopard pumps and a jewel-toned Dolce Vita bag to bring out the green hues in the dress. My outfits are getting a lot simpler these days, which I'm not sure if I should blame on the heat (yes, it's scorching already) or the fact that my belly is giant and doesn't fit into anything! Either way, I'm looking forward to that flat belly again someday soon!

Hello lovely ladies! Thank you for visiting Spotlight Weekly link-up! Today I styled a simple and chic look that's great for a night out, or even a day at the office! I love how this dress is slimming, but doesn't appear too tight. Although the print is rather loud, it also feels conservative with the waist-cinching belt and ankle strap chunky heels. I adore this leopard print dress and shared some other options with you above as well! I can't wait to see how you style leopard print!

Snow Leopard

November 24, 2013

Ladies, I've got to introduce a fabulous jewelry site with you! DaisyGem has become a serious obsession of mine lately.  They have many gorgeous pieces available that are quality yet have such a great price point.  Visit the site, and see all of the lovely accessories they offer. I paired this crystal chandelier piece with a simple printed top to really let it take the spotlight.  I almost grabbed my black boots to wear with this, however, mid-motion I decided to pair the leggings and top with my cognac boots.  I am all about contrasts and unexpected combinations, so of course mixing black and brown is a must.

Outfit Post: Camo/Stripes/Spots

Wearing:
Sweater: LOFT
Pants: Gap
Shoes: Nine West (they're so comfy!)
Bracelet: Macy's
Bag: Kohls
Phone case: J.Crew

You know, the nice thing about style these days is if you put together an outfit that is completely off the wall and doesn't seem like it goes together, you're considered a 'stylish' person. Taking risks are so much more accepted in the fashion world now, and I'm glad for it. Now, I definitely have my days of blue jeans and a classic, clean, white oxford blouse, but I feel that we are encouraged to take risks and let our clothes reflect our true personality. Quirky is the new 'in' thing. ;) This might explain why I'm wearing three different patterns in one outfit… maybe.

Thanks for reading!
