Spotlight Fashion Link-Up | Floral

March 02, 2016

Wearing: Free People dress | Similar hat | Alex & Ani bracelets | Far More Than Rubies mama metal necklace c/o | Ruby Claire Boutique 'Lolo' wedge c/o | Finley Lane 'Carmelita' tan pom pom clutch c/o

Hi beautiful friends! We're back this week for #SpotlightWeekly Fashion Link-Up styling florals! I went with a less traditional Spring floral in styling this Free People shift dress. I love the unique sleeves and the bright neon print against the black background. I feel like I'm wearing a soft, cozy blanket that hugs my body in all the right places haha.

I feel like this pom pom straw clutch was made for this outfit too. It ties in my Panama hat nicely to the outfit, wouldn't you agree!? This super cute clutch from Finley Lane is only $28, and is super roomy for a clutch! I was able to fit my keys, wallet and phone in it easily!

Lastly I want to discuss how amazing these fringe shoes are. These are actually wedge sandals from Ruby Claire Boutique. I know you can't tell in the photo but they have about a 1 inch heel, so they are easy to walk in, but elongate your leg in a dress or with shorts! They're perfect for Summer since fringe is still all the rage. There are only a few sizes left, so snag them while you can!

Jacqueline and I post our link-ups every Thursday! This week our theme is florals or you can pick any fashion/beauty related post to link up! Come back weekly to visit us!

Art Saves Lives

October 05, 2015

Hi loves! Happy Monday. This past weekend I made a huge discovery about myself. My style is slowly evolving... in becoming a mother I have evolved into someone who wore dresses almost every single day, and hated jeans (they were uncomfortable to be honest) to someone who basically lives in denim and tees. Basics have become my go-to's, and not only that, but I've found that my personal taste is evolving into a more 'bohemian' feel if you will. I love anything loose, flowy and easy to lift up (nursing mama over here!) During this amazing discovery on a shopping trip, I found myself gravitating towards knit dusters and I AM OBSESSED. I bought two this past weekend, and already have two more in mind that I plan on picking up at some point this Fall. Dusters are super on trend right now, and comfortable yet they look chic with a simple t-shirt! Win-win, if you ask me. I've linked to a few of my favorite dusters above that are under $30 right now ;) If you pick one up, let me know!

Now, let's talk about this Ellington Handbags tote, because seriously, have you seen anything more gorgeous?! This leather tote is super giant, but not big enough to where I feel like I'm lugging around a suitcase. It's lightweight and has the option of carrying cross-body or with shoulder straps! It has pockets galore, and even fits my laptop if I feel like bringing it with me. It's the perfect bag for work or play, and for you mamas out there - this doubles as a stylish purse and amazingly functional diaper bag!

Very Berry

September 02, 2013

I've found that during Fall (or pre-fall, I guess you can call it!) I gravitate towards, dark, moody, wine-ish and plum hues.  For some reason, I just can't bringt myself to wear anything of this nature during the summer.  So, naturally on the first day of September, I found myself styling this darling Free People dress (which is definitely a new favorite!) with an edgy dark brown leather jacket for an evening out with friends.

What colors scream "Fall" to you?  For me it used to be orangish tints, but I'm definitely more of a berry-hued girl these days.  Hope you all have enjoyed a relaxing weekend.  Here's to the first week of September!

Outfit Details:
Bag: H&M
Necklace and Earrings: F21
Sandals: ???

Hello lovely readers! I'd like to start out with a disclaimer for this post: it is only coincidence that I'm wearing almost the same accessories and bag as my last post. I do my best to mix it up as often as I can, however, this is a blog about remixing the same items! ;) These are outfits from my holidays in California, and they're slightly out of order. This is one of my favorites because of its relaxed, comfortable vibe.  I think it really showcases the L.A. style that must be bred in me. I will admit, though, I love and adore the urban, chic, layers of NYC style and I often switch back and forth between the two! Happy Tuesday!

p.s. I've finally joined the Chictopian society, and have my very own chicblogIf you like, you can click on through and follow me! :)
XOXO.
