Bloggers Who Budget | Fall Trends for Less

August 24, 2015

Wearing: Nordstrom 'Lush' top (Runs big...I'm wearing a small!) | Forever 21 skirt (only 4.90$) | Tory Burch 'Thea' satchel (love this one!) | Zee Alexis booties c/o (love these too!)Lemon Drop Boutique 'double v' pendant c/o | Michael Kors Watch | Jessica N Designs personalized hexagon necklace c/o | Karen Walker sunglasses from DITTO c/o (get your first month free with code: LIVINGINCOLOR)

Hey loves! The #BloggersWhoBudget are back this month styling our favorite Fall transition pieces under $75! Lucky for you friends, I"ve found some amazing deals! This top, which I've already styled sooo many ways, is only $42, and this skirt is FOUR DOLLARS. That's right - this staple, black, mini, pencil skirt is under $5 and comes in like 10 other colors. I find that these are my go-to when the seasons start to change, because these cotton skirts are lightweight, look great with booties, and can be paired with just about anything on top!

I've also developed a slight obsession with grey bags. I know that this Tory Burch style is sold out (it's from last year) but I'm in love with this tote in grey too. As far as I'm concerned, grey handbags are on trend, so make sure to find one that you love for the upcoming season ;)

Bloggers Who Budget | Fall Transition

Wearing: Target top (sold out but similar here & here) | Forever 21 skirt | Nine West heels (similar) | Target watch (splurge/save) | dressbarn bag c/o | similar sunglasses | InPink double bar necklace c/o | My Flat in London bow bangle | Alex & Ani 'Tree of Life' bracelet

Hi ladies! The Bloggers Who Budget group is back for our September collaboration styling our favorite transitional items under $75! I chose to style this darling fit & flare skirt from Forever 21. This amazing Fall staple piece cost me only $13.80- how could I say no?! It's a transitional piece because of it's gorgeous bordeaux hue, and can be worn with black or colored tights and boots once temperatures really start to drop! This may be cheating but I also consider my leopard heels to be a major fall transition piece. While they aren't booties, they give any outfit a Fall feel because of their gorgeous faux fur and large print.

I hope you have a fabulous week!

Black & White and An Invite

August 29, 2014

Hi ladies! Happy weekend! I'm kicking off this lovely Friday night by sharing a weekend style look with you from dressbarn. After checking out their Fall line, I instantly fell in love with all of the patterns, prints, and chic looks! I love how youthful the Fall line is, and can't wait to try out this jumpsuit for when it cools off!

For the look I am sharing with you today, I chose to style my ikat print black and white top with a mini skirt. For an edgy feel, I paired this with my black booties, and my amazingly roomy black bag with studded detail. Finally, I added a bow in my hair to keep it classic and feminine.

This look is the perfect example of how you can style dressbarn for any occasion, and in this case: a weekend date. I will say that I adore their trousers for work, and I can't wait to try out their new S.M.A.R.T Fit Pant ! As a teacher, I love the name of these pants! Since they sit lower on the waist, and are straight all through the leg, the fit must be just perfect. Visit the blog next week to see how I style the S.M.A.R.T Fit Pant
If you're local, I'm hosting the 'Hey Smartypants' event at dressbarn where you can come shop the S.M.A.R.T Fit Pant and all of the other fabulous products with me! The event is on September 6th from 1-3 PM! I would love to meet you lovely ladies! Email me for more information if you're local, and I'll send you all of the details!

Fall Transition Style

August 24, 2014

Wearing: August silk sweater c/o | LOFT shorts | Target wedges (similar) | Express scarf (similar) | 3.1 Philip Lim for Target bag (similar 1/similar 2) | similar hat

Happy Monday! I'm here to share with you an outfit that transitions my summer wardrobe, like these denim shorts, into the Fall season. This sweater would be more appropriate with an olive colored corduroy pant or maybe some black skinnies, but I kind of love it with these dark hued shorts. I went with a simple neutral wedge, and my favorite black bag. Also, if you're trying to make your transitional look feel more "Fall-like" then add a baseball cap! Any outfit with a cap is instantly chic! Thanks so much for reading!

Very Berry

September 02, 2013

I've found that during Fall (or pre-fall, I guess you can call it!) I gravitate towards, dark, moody, wine-ish and plum hues.  For some reason, I just can't bringt myself to wear anything of this nature during the summer.  So, naturally on the first day of September, I found myself styling this darling Free People dress (which is definitely a new favorite!) with an edgy dark brown leather jacket for an evening out with friends.

What colors scream "Fall" to you?  For me it used to be orangish tints, but I'm definitely more of a berry-hued girl these days.  Hope you all have enjoyed a relaxing weekend.  Here's to the first week of September!
