Tonight I had the pleasure of attending a private preview of a local pop-up design shop here in Arizona. Mama, editor, and designer Kristen Forgione is the mastermind behind it all - she is the creator of THE LifeStyled COMPANY, and she is super inspiring and equally sweet! This pop-up shop featured SO many fabulous pieces that would seriously look great in any home. Keep reading to learn more about my experience and see some gorgeous (and affordable) pieces!
At first look, I felt like I walked into a Restoration Hardware! Everything was so chic and stylish, I was sure it would be way out of my budget, but upon glancing at the price tags, I was able to take a deep sigh of relief, and was also pleasantly surprised with how affordable the pieces were!
Kristen describes her aesthetic as boho, and rustic farmhouse meets modern transitional, and honestly I think that's exactly how I would describe my design taste from now on! My good friend and I were awe-stricken as we looked at each item! I purchased the cute little cacti trio on the shelf below! I seriously couldn't help myself. I love how Kristen described herself as "desert-proud" in reference to her design philosophy. As a seasoned Phoenician, I can now say that I agree!
Kristen opened up during a Q&A session this evening, and talked about her background. Once upon a time she was a blogger, then worked in PR, and now she is finally living her dream as a designer! She helps families design spaces in their homes, and was super open and honest about her preference for quality, but affordability. As a fellow mom, this was just music to my ears! Speaking of being a mama, Kristen also understands that a space has to be designed unique to your lifestyle and preference! In reference to being a mama, she says "Thank goodness effortless chic is coming back!"
I honestly felt like I was walking around in an affordable, modern, and chic Pinterest board tonight! It was such a blast, now go check out @lifestyledco on Instagram! Her feed is gorgeous!
Thanks so much for reading, and have a great weekend! xo.
