Outfit Post: Perfectly Plaid

November 07, 2012

 Wearing:
Top: Target (love this one or this one)
Skirt: Gap (love this one!)
Heels: Tahari via Macy's
Bag: Vintage Station Coach
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: Macy's
Faux Pearls: Forever 21

I'm still waiting for it to cool off around here, but I must admit I am super thankful to live in a place where natural disaster is at a minimum. My thoughts are definitely with all of my East Coast friends and bloggers who are suffering the repercussions of Hurricane Sandy. If you follow me on other social networking sites you know that we had a mini 'natural disaster' of our own this past weekend. Anyway, things are slowly going to get back to normal.

This outfit was a no brainer- I love when that happens! The subtle print mixing and difference in texture  (the shirt is flannel, and skirt is cotton) made this ensemble super comfortable and as close to a 90 degree fall outfit as you can get. I've had this shirt for a year now… I wasn't sure how to top the first way I styled it… see those photos below. Granted, I lived in a completely different climate this time, last year, I will always love this outfit- (click here to see full outfit post featuring these photos below!)

Outfit Post: Channeling Minnie

October 22, 2012

Wearing:
denim from Nordstrom (last seen here)
top from H&M (last seen here)
Me Too flats
vintage station coach
Target tortoise watch
J.Crew pavé link bracelet
bangle from T+J designs
bow from etsy's pink and blue shop

You know- This outfit is from a while ago, and I've yet to share it! Also, I'm not sure what my feet are doing in the last picture, but I liked the angle and the interesting face I'm making, so I went ahead and included it. Sometimes a blogger's pictures aren't always going to look like she did a full-on fashion photo shoot every day…and that's okay. I'm cool with awkward, unnatural poses, because that's how life is sometimes, awkward, unnatural and stressful. Speaking of… it's been an interesting weekend. I did a lot of fun things and felt an equal amount of stress for particularly no reason other than anticipating the week ahead of me. Nonetheless, I'm ending my weekend by posting this minnie-mouse inspired outfit (this was completely accidental, I swear) The pants are actually burnt orange, not read, and I really love them. They're super comfortable and I'm starting to get brave and pair them with more than just black or neutral colors. Thanks for reading loves.
p.s. sorry about the AK giveaway- trying to work out some logistic details… hopefully will be able to post it this week!

Outfit Post: Lace & Bows

September 26, 2012

Outfit Details:
Top: Gap
Denim: c/o Madewell (similar)
Bag: Vintage Station Coach
Heels: Tahari via Macy's
Sunglasses: House of Harlow 1960 Chelsea
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: T+J Designs

A quick midweek outfit post-keeping it classy with lace and bows. I love dressing up denim- I don't wear it enough, so I make sure to cherish the times I can wear jeans and be comfortable! I'm also doing my best to squeeze out as many summery outfits as possible before my Fall wardrobe takes over my life! Thanks for reading!

p.s. Congratulations to the blog design giveaway winners, Megan and Jessica! Thanks to those who entered!

Outfit Post: Print Party

September 09, 2012

 Outfit Details:
Sweater: Old Navy
Shorts: c/o SheInside
 Flats: Target (similar)
Bag: Vintage Station Coach
Pavé chain link bracelet: J.Crew
Bangles: c/o Poshlocket
Thread Bracelet: Madewell
Necklace: gift from J-Kate Spade

A last summer 'hurrah' outfit before I bring my Fall wardrobe into full swing- the temperatures are still pretty high, so I couldn't justify wearing this sweater…but it happened anyway. I'm willing Fall to be here. Something I'm looking forward to this fall is all of the polka dots and prints- I'll be doing quite a bit of print mixing, but what's new, right? Have a good week!

Outfit Post: Versatility At It's Finest

July 30, 2012

Outfit Details:
Dress: c/o Sheinside
Flower Pin: H&M
Pavé link bracelet: J.Crew
Large chain link bracelet: Macy's (similar)
Pavé tip cord bracelet: T+J Designs
Gold Bangles: Icing
Necklace: Kate Spade
Flats: Me Too
Bag: Vintage Coach via Poshmark

The lovely people over at Sheinside offered to send me a few things, and this is one of the pieces I chose- a white dress is perfect for any season! It can be worn by itself with some cute accessories for summer, and can be layered up and paired with some boots for the colder seasons! On another note, I've developed a knack for the classic Coach purse- I'm not a fan of the lettering or anything on the more modern versions, but a good 'ol classic Willis Coach bag is just to die for.
