Dusters & Bows

November 09, 2015

Happy Tuesday, and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I've noticed a popular trend here on Living in Color lately, and that is: comfort trumps all! It's so important for me to feel stylish, and feel great about what I'm wearing, but as a new mom, I also find value in feeling comfortable each day as I care for my baby at home, or when I'm out and about!

I was shopping at Forever 21 recently, and came across the ultimate item of comfort - a longline cardigan (or as I prefer to call them) dusters! These are longer-than-usual cardigans that are soooo comfy and look cute with pretty much anything. I wore a gray version of this one over a black dress today, and I felt like I was wearing pajamas, but it was so comfy. As we slooowwwly make our transition into winter temps, I'll be doing lots of layering with pieces like this. I've found several at a perfect price point (less than $20) so if you're a new mama, or a lover of all things comfy, go shopping and treat yo' self!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your day. xo.

Spotlight Weekly Link-Up | Week 112: Oxblood

October 21, 2015

Wearing: Gap top (similar) | Banana Republic denim (similar for 50% off!) | Vintage Washed Hoodie Jacket - Coffeeshop line from Santa Fe Apparel (Get 20% off your purchase with code: LIVING20) | Sole Society 'Juli' wedge c/o | Ellington Handbags 'Delia' large tote c/o

Hi loves! Thank you so much for visiting Spotlight Weekly today! I know this outfit looks really simple, but it still felt very put together and stylish to me! I took a risk and styled similar hues in my jeans and top (my jeans are actually oxblood, but the camera didn't do a very good job of capturing that!)

The weather is finally chilly enough for a light jacket, so I've been wearing the heck out of this Santa Fe Apparel jacket! This piece is so soft and super versatile! I have worn it with a mini black dress, with a plaid dress for a more casual look, and in these pictures with jeans. I think next I'll style it with a striped v-neck tee and my destroyed denim! If you're interested in purchasing a piece from the Coffeeshop line from Santa Fe Apparel or this exact jacket, even, make sure to use this code: LIVING20 for 20% off your purchase!

The lovely Jacqueline and I post our link-ups every Thursday! This week our theme is oxblood! Or you can pick any fashion/beauty related post to link up! Come back weekly to visit us!
