How to Video | Pattern Mixing

In an effort to wear my own closet a little more often, I've started experimenting with remixes and how-to videos.  For this first segment I chose a subject that is still a little controversial in the fashion world.  While there are many style bloggers who have become pattern mixing pros, there are a few people (blogger and non-blogger alike) who are still learning about the amazing adventure of mixing prints.  For those of you who are wanting a few easy pointers, I've putt together two separate outfits and included 5-7 style tips for how to pattern mix!  

We have started filming our videos in more of a documentary style.  I think I've found my niche in the blogging world, and I'm really excited to introduce this to you!  Please let me know what you think!  (Also, I'm apologizing in advance for lack of quality audio- we were near a fountain, and the birds were just so happy that day!)  If you're a YouTube frequenter, and you get the chance, please subscribe to my channel for easy access to all Living in Color Live videos!  Thank you so much for reading… and watching! ;)

    Love the video and your outfit is precious! Print mixing has always been a little bit intimidating to me and I usually try and keep it simple, stripes and dots are by far my fave thing to mix and match!

    I loved those outfits! Great video too...I was surprised at how informative it was. I thought it was just going to show all of those cute outfits. But I love that you explained pattern mixing so well. You should totally do more videos! You're so good at it :)

    Yep, perfect print mix right here. Love how the focus is on the print mix itself, because there aren't any other colors fighting for attention. That can be cute too, but in this particular look I like how compatible the colors are. :)
